Announcement: Penguicon 2026
After months of planning, countless volunteer hours, and an unforgettable night of glitter, goblins, and generosity, we did it.
The Underground Masquerade was everything we hoped it would be and more. The vibe was magic. The community came through. And most importantly, we raised enough to officially move forward with Penguicon 2026!
We owe a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible:
Our tireless volunteers, our incredible entertainers, our generous sponsors (especially Alma Linux), and every single person who bought a ticket, donated a raffle item, made a contribution, shared a post, or simply showed up.
So what now?
We’re officially looking for a 2026 ConChair. If you’re passionate about Penguicon and ready to help shape the future of the convention, you can apply here. We’re also actively narrowing down venue options, and once that’s locked in, we’ll be announcing the date. We’re aiming for April or May of 2026.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, but we’re not all the way there yet. Planning a full-scale Penguicon takes time, money, and a lot of people power. So we’re asking the community to stay with us. Keep showing up. Keep spreading the word. Keep helping us push to return to the event that is home for so many of us.
Up Next
Our next fundraiser is a make-and-take tech night, where participants will learn to install Alma Linux onto mini PCs together, and then take them home. We’ll have options for virtual attendees too, and every dollar raised will support Penguicon 2026. There are two dates:
June 20 at 7:00pm
June 21 at 6:00pm
You must have a ticket to attend in person, capacity is about 20 per night, and ticket sales end 06/14.
