16610 Programmer/Analyst
Position Summary
This position is responsible for designing and coding student centered
business applications in University Housing. These applications provide
over 10,000 students with a range of services including housing
application and contracts, dining services and menus, debit and access
card functions, and residence life systems. Responsible for planning and
implementation of application interfaces. Works with departmental
application administrators and technical support to resolve problems.
Works with staff and students for requirements analysis and project
planning. Coordinates with vendors and campus IT providers needed for
implementation and support purposes.
16228 Systems Administrator
Position Summary
This position is responsible to function as a highly capable member of
the three person Housing Systems Administrator team. The team manages
about 30 Windows and 10 Linux servers as well as a Fiber channel SAN
which run services for Housing's over 9,000 residents and various
administrative departments (Security, Residential Education, Marketing
and Conference Services, Facilities, Residential Dining Services,
Northwood Community Apartments, Human Resources, Business and Finance,
Information Technology, and Housing Information Office). The team is
also responsible for all areas of system administration on these servers
and end user support related to account administration and server-based
applications.
16276 Network Administrator
Position Summary
Primary responsibility is to provide IT infrastructure support to
Housing networks and desktop computer environments, while providing
superior customer service. The Network Administrator functions as the
primary support for all aspects of networking for 10,000 resident
computers and 500 full time staff computers. Assists the Senior Network
Administrator in providing support for DHCP and network authentication
servers. Participates in and leads specific projects associated with
designing, testing and implementing new networking service, such as
wireless. Assists in troubleshooting networking and desktop problems.
