'HAM'.  As an appropriate testament to the fact that all forms of
geekiness are inseparably entwined, the BSDs have long shipped with
a program called 'morse' that'll generate and parse morse code.
On a debian-based system, you can pull it in (along with many other
interesting dribs and drabs) by installing the 'bsdgames' package.
