[penguicon-general] OT to some - Roommate needed in Pontiac/Waterford area

Hi everybody! Jessi here. You know... Assistant conchair at ConFusion 07 and 08, Treasurer at Penguicon 07 and 08, and long time second generation fen. (My mammy is Karen Roe.)

I seem to have found myself and my good friend Sherli a wonderful place to live, and we are currently working with somebody to live with us as a third roommate, but as we all know life can sometimes throw curve balls at us. He has not said that he Won't be living with us, but he has looked at other places, and I would not blame him for moving into the other place. It sounds gorgeous.

But! That isn't being said to diminish the awesomeness of the place that I shall be living! 

We will be living at (basically) Walton and Baldwin, so we are near a ton of things. The house is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, with a fully finished basement that can be (and has been) used as a bedroom. It comes with all but one of the utilities (washer, dryer, stove, fridge) though they are the previous owners. There is a gated backyard which has a small plot raised for gardening (mmmm cucumbers and peppers!) and a pretty front yard that (if I remember right) has some foliage going on. It is unfortunately (currently) without A/C but by the time we move into the place, it won't even matter.

Sherli and I are not picky as to a sex when it comes to a roommate. If you're going to be a boy though, expect girl things around the house. :D

Our only rules are:

Absolutely no smoking in the house.
Absolutely no illegal activity in the house.
Absolutely no fuddy duddyness
A stable job and income. If you find yourself without income you must work your damndest to find a new job as we can't support more than what we already pay/give.
We would prefer somebody who is open and able to accept pets. Sherli owns one cat, Hayden, who is kind of shy, but she stays. If you have a pet, we won't turn you down either. We are pet lovers.
You must be open to social events and people.Or even willing to become a part of them. :D I am (and shall always be) a very social person. (Sherli is too!) I would have a party every week if possible. That means we are going to be okay if You invite over your friends too.


We are looking to move in very late July/early August, so the sooner we hear from you, or somebody you know of that would be an excellent roommate, the better. For the record, Sherli and I are both 25. (It matters to some people... I don't know why)

The rent is $600 total, so you'll be responsible for $200, plus the cost of splitting the utilities. If we all work together, it shouldn't be more than $400 a month for the three of us.

Please feel free to post this anywhere you deem acceptable, and please feel free to pass along this information to anybody you feel would be a good fit with Sherli and I. I know a ton of you know me, and know how open I am, so if you think I'll be okay with that person, I'm pretty sure I will be okay with them.
