[penguicon-general] Penguicon 7: May 2-4, 2009?

Expressing opinions on this thread would accomplish little but to give
others something to dispute, and would likely snowball.

As I said in the original mail, this is not a vote, and not an opinion
poll, only a distributed research effort. This is an issue on which
consensus is impossible. Penguicon is very open, but this is one topic
on which a community-based process functions poorly.

No one person has all the facts with which to have an opinion that
matters. Really, no one person can be expected to. We're collecting
value-judgement-free data about major events and holidays, and then we
will decide who we have to disappoint.

It will be a disappointing decision on some grounds, no matter which
weekend it is. This is a question to which there is no right answer,
only the least bad answer.

When one centralized group has all that information, they will meet
and make the tough decision, probably at a concom meeting. We'll let
you know so you can be there!
