[penguicon-general] Car issues...

Sorry if you get this more than once...

I have a big problem and I figured that I might be able to ask someone on
one of these lists for help.

My car started making nasty squealing noises today... It's doing this
whenever the wheels are moving: a high pitched squealing noise.  When I
apply the break, the squealing lowers pitch, but doesn't stop until the car
stops.  I have NO idea what this could be and I'm scared to drive my car
now.  It sounds like it's coming from the wheels, if that helps at all.

There are a couple of problems:  I've been unemployed for 3 months and I
don't have any money to take it into a shop to get it fixed.  I might be
able to scrounge up something, but it wouldn't even be close to what a
garage or dealership would charge me.

The second problem is that I just got a job... in Farmington Hills.  And I
start Monday.  I live in Ypsilanti.  If I don't have a reliable car, I can't
get to work.

So, somehow, I have to figure out what's wrong with my car and manage to get
it fixed before Monday.  But I have no money and I don't know how to fix
cars.

Can anyone help me here?
