It is, and it should just say so on the website (or even a request to
link to us if appropriate).

Likewise, right there on the website.

logs for Referer and google for mentions.

Because if I feel like maybe linking, and I see you want me to jump
through hoops, I won't bother.  If you just provide logos, that's
great; and if you ask me to let you know, sure, no problem.

But wanting me to _request_ permission and _wait_ and then do
something later?  Not worth the effort.
