Which brings up a second good point. I was already aware that MUG was
covered by Aaron, the vast majority of MDLUG was already sold on
Penguicon, and GLLUG for obvious reasons needed no wrangling. I work
closely with MonroeLUG and well everyone of semi-active membership there
was going (all three of us and one of those could be considered more of
a MDLUG person.

GTLUG, KLUG and GRLUG for one reason or another either completely ignore
or are hostile towards Penguicon (maybe it was the spamming campaign,
oops?) and TALUG has also ignored Penguicon, despite numerous attempts
to get various people involved with the LUG on board.

Which leaves WLUG(LUGWash), who I've mostly neglected because I've run
out of time to head in that direction (sorry) who actually had a decent
showing this year at the con (yes, I loosely keep track of these things.)

Having said all that, I do have some new ideas and I want to visit
LUGWash and TALUG this year and time/expenses permitting get to a few
West Michigan and Ohio LUGs that I've been in contact with in the recent
year.

The current thought about LUG Wrangler this year is that would be better
as a team effort. If you would like to help out and don't mind taking
long trips to spread the word we would be happy to have you as part of
the team, which of course is valid for anyone else that would like to
help bring Penguicon to the LUGs. Generally it will entail some form of
presentation followed by an attempt at registration, while also signing
up people to volunteer to man an informative tech panel, provide a tech
presention or help be part of the tech support team that is being put
together for next year.
