The purpose of a name badge is so that I can see who you are at a
glance (and you can see the same about me).

That requires large legible print, which most people (especially me)
can't do by hand.

If the name you want to be known as isn't the one your credit card is
in, you should specify that when you register.

If you want to make it a challenge to identify you, remember that
you're at a convention full of the kind of people who, if they take up
that challenge, will find not only your name, but your entire history,
credit rating, and every embarassing thing you've ever done.
