Digital synths and Analog synths aren't even the same instrument!  I 
need at least one of each!

There's a great documentary on (I think) Showtime right now called 
"Moog"which is about, you guessed it, Bob Moog.   In the interview with 
Rick Wakeman, Rick describes how keyboard solo's pre-moog were just drab 
things that were no competition for the guitar solos but after the moog 
hit the market he started hearing guitarists say "Oh, it's the keyboard 
player.... oh #!#$!#$ he's got moog!".   BTW, I highly recommend this 
documentary, quite entertaining.
