Thanks, Chuck. I don't think they'd have a problem with it. I've seen them
gracefully cope with much weirder stuff at Convocation. 

On the electricity, the shorter the extension cord I have to use, the better.
Best is none at all. We increase roast time by using extension cords, and
after a certain point, it just stalls.

Worst comes to worst, I'll do the heat gun/dog bowl method, which also
requires electricity, but isn't as touchy. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at
that method, but it is still fun.

With the patio, I could bring some other roasters for show and tell. There
would be room. Some brewing equipment, too.
