IIRC, you are occaisionally looking at streaming video of one format
or another for your lectures. Is MSU consolidating on Flash (e.g.,
YouTube-like) or Real or (god-forbid) AVI (windows media)?
Just one more bucket of worms to consider... Although VLC should
handle most codecs. (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).
