[penguicon-general] Anyone want to help bring me back to the Linux
fold?

My last few machines have been donated hardware, and I have used the
operating systems that were installed on them. As a result, I've been
working on Windows OSes for a few years. I can no longer *take* the virus
and spyware problem any more. I wish to return to the fold of Linux. I
have backed up all my important files. However, I'm in the middle of
nursing school and don't have the time to do the legwork involved in making
this system change happen.
Anyone out there want to help PenguiCon's co-founder return to the fold? I
need to nuke win2K, and install Linux and OpenOffice.
My Linux criteria:
* Must run gracefully on a Dell Latitude PP01X
* Must play nicely with my Belkin 211.g wireless card
* Must run OpenOffice
* Must run Firefox
* Additional required software: RealPlayer or first-cousin level near kin;
Acrobat
* Must support an HP All-in-One style printer (model 4315cx, I think)
* Must have publicly available technical support for an intelligent non-IT
user
On my wish list:
* I've got websites I need to run that require Explo(d)er, and chokes on
Firefox. Can I run Exploder or a seamless Exploder emulator for those
websites that require it?
* I've got an external CD/DVD drive which uses software called Nero. I'd
like to still be able to use it. Can provide specs if need be.
If you need to ask additional questions, ask away. If this is a "sure, of
course, no problem" thing, and you feel inspired to burn and send the disks
to me, my address is:

C'mon. Bring your backslidden co-founder back into the fold. You know you
want to. (:
