A Mountain Dew tasting? But the Dew is a standardized product, and there's
only a couple of flavor variants. Doesn't sound interesting to me.

Now this sounds more interesting, because there are flavor differences in
colas. Can you pick out your alleged favorite by taste alone? What makes a
cola great?
Jolt must still be made, because ThinkGeek is selling it:

And it appears that a sugar-free Jolt is being made again, as Jolt Ultra (it
uses Splenda). Wonder if it's any better than the carbonated dishwater that
was (briefly) sold as Diet Jolt, so many years ago?
