Feel free to attempt a discussion about what "filk" means to you.
However, I'd just like to point out it's more futile to object to what
you consider improper usage of the word "filk" than to discuss
politics or religion. Attempts to codify a real, true meaning of
"filk" only result in more discord rather than less. For that matter,
the usage of the word "filk" at all tends to create schisms, in my
opinion. I tried to keep away from labeling different categories of
music in the schedule this year, mostly.

To me, the only important thing is that Jonathan Coulton's music is
dearly loved by a lot of Penguicon attendees who I know. That includes
me.

One thing I must dispute is Molly's assertion that there is no
Mandelbrot fandom. I made this image as proof that there is!
