Ron,
The blog doesn't do what we need it to do. It's no different from the
news items.
I'm grateful to have had the existing website which has nobly served
our convention for a couple of years. But they were an educational
couple of years, after which I feel it's time to put what we've
learned into practice and separate the concom conrunning "back end"
from the publicity and marketing "front end".
I could go into more detail, but would rather give an audiovisual
presentation in person. Chuck Child and I have asked Gerald for a
meeting with me and you about future of the website, where I'll
present a new site that I built in Wordpress in a test subdomain of my
own domain, with our Livejournal embedded in it.
