Every year I've had _any_ say in GoH recruitment, I've recruited at least one
webcomic artist. (This year Randy _and_ Kovalic would have been webcomic
artists, just like Pete and Illiad year 1.)
Webcomic artists are perfect for us. It's squarely between tech and fen,
they've got a built-in way to advertise their appearance to their fan base,
and they generally enjoy the con.
(They're also generally not media types where you need to wave around
thousands of dollars to get their attention, but give it 5-10 more years and
we'll see the Scott Adams/Jim Davis types emerge. The Penny Arcade guys are
already nosing into that territory, and you could sort of consider Dilbert to
be a webcomic in the right light...)
I'd love to invite the guy behind Irregular Webcomic, but he's in australia.
Rich Berlew of the Order Of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/) isn't,
though...
