Absolutely. There will be a restaurant guide included with the
registration packet.

Detroit is home to the largest concentration of arabic and middle
eastern cultures outside of the middle east. Within two miles of my
house in Oak Park, there is good Lebanese, Iraqi, Ethiopian, Indian,
Thai, and Japanese -- as well as good vegetarian, italian, french and
noveau restarants. You can even get a great burger or pizza. :-)

I'm not as familiar with the Troy area, but we've managed to find some
good examples or most of these cuisines within a short driving
distance of the hotel. There's even a nice restaurant cluster within
walking distance from the hotel, which includes sushi, thai, a Red
Robin, a greek coney island, a bagel place and an obligatory star
bucks.

If you want fantastic seafood (and don't mind spending a little money)
Charlie's Crab which is attached to (but not part of) the hotel is a
top notch restaurant, and the Palm Restaurant across the the parking
lot to the north is a good steak house.

Within four miles of the hotel, there is a wide array or restaurants,
including italian, more sushi, indian, more thai, breakfast and burger
places like National Coney Island, Morton's Steak House, and a Fondue
place.

Take a look at maps.yahoo.com, and center in on the Troy Hilton. The
main roads in the area are a rough one mile grid.

Hope that helps!
