[penguicon-general] Raffle reminder!

A special edition fudge (cinnamon apple with cherries - made by the Fudge
Goddess herself) will be raffled off at Penguicon, with ticket sales
starting at approximately 3pm on Friday until the winners are drawn at 11pm
Saturday night.  All proceeds will be be donated to the March of Dimes, in
the name of Debra Zimmerlee.  Deb is a member of fandom but she hasn't been
able to attend cons for the past few years.  Deb was born with cerebral
palsy due to being born premature, which is one reason that she is committed
to walking in the March of Dimes Walk every year.  I'll be walking with her,
along with a some of her other friends, the Saturday after Penguicon.
Donations this year haven't been great, so I was hoping that this raffle
would help bring a smile to Deb's face as the money from it helps treat
premature babies.

There will be 4 pieces of 4 inch x 4 inch fudge raffled off.  The names of
the winners will be posted at Operations for anyone not present at the
raffle, and tickets (sold for $1 each) can be purchased at Ops or from me
(Shay).  Anyone who purchases $5 or more worth of raffle tickets will also
get a "I Support Deb" ribbon for as long as they last... and thanks to
Bill Hobbel
for donating the ribbons!  Donations are also accepted if you don't wish to
actually purchase raffle tickets, and any checks can be made out to "March
of Dimes."  And yes, anyone who donates $5 or more will also also get a
ribbon.

Remember, this is a special edition fudge that you can only get through this
raffle... but you can stop by the ConVersation room party to try some of
Kimba's fudge and get an idea on how great this special edition fudge will
be.
