That link is: http://picasa.google.com/linux/ I don't recommend that
anyone download the Linux version from the website. Go into Synaptic
Package Manager and search for Picasa, and let it download and install
Picasa for you automatically. Or better yet, get Automatix and let it
automatically find and install all the most common enhancements to
Ubuntu without you ever needing to know what a .deb file is.

I've been using Picasa on Ubuntu Linux and enjoying it very much. I
recommend it. It's actually fun to categorize photos with tags of who
is in them, when and where they were taken. At least, it's fun for me.

Most of the cataloguing functions which are Picasa's specialty,
Photoshop does not even try to do. Picasa only does a few of the
simplest things when it comes to photo editing, but it's very
convenient.
