Hello all,
I was the one who wrote:

My answers to Tracy Worcester's response are below.

Well, two ideas came to me a while ago. I ran them
past my coworker, Sean Lisse, (who I think someone of
importance knows) and he seemed to think they'd be
okay.
1) Technical
Title: Animation using Eclipse and Draw2D
Duration: 1 hour
Description: Forget UML diagrams. Eclipse's Draw2D
can be used to create fun little useless cartoons. I
know because I've done it and I'm willing to show you
how.
2) Random
Title: So you think you're a geek?
Duration: 2 hours
Description: I had an idea of traveling across country
(or at least SE michigan) and interviewing random
people on whether they considered themselves geeks and
why. After compiling all the "scientific" data, I
would like to present my findings and give out cool
prizes to panel attendees who are willing to subject
themselves to ruthless probing and prodding in my
quest to find the ultimate geek.

Actually, I heard about PenguiCon while visiting
Youmacon's website a few months ago. I graduated from
the University of Michigan with an M.S.E in Computer
Science last year while working full time as a
software engineer, so before then I didn't have much
time for conferences. I'm sort of playing catch up
now.
