The Japanese make savory ice cream all the time.
Garlic, salmon, squid, you name it they put it in ice cream.
and speaking of garlic ice cream, here is a link to a recipe.

I love the internet and google.

Oh by the way, I am the one that wants to do the drinking chocolate panel.
I already have a few recipes new and old gathered up.
Try to keep in mind that drinking chocolate is not Hot Cocoa.
It is made with real chocolate bits and pieces, milk or cream, and spices like cinnamon.
Drinking Chocolate can also be consumed either hot or cold.
I will try to bring enough stuff for both the panel and for the ConSuite after the panel is over.

I'm not familiar with the chemistry of ice cream making. While it is standard for ice cream to be sweet...could you possibly highjack the concept and make savory ice cream like objects which involve little or no sugar?

I personally would have no problem with garlic bits on my ice cream.
Of course, I am a bit of a garlic fiend. :)

I wonder if we can somehow work bagel dough into that...and maybe bits
of smoked salmon (the smoked salmon depending on the bagel)

Answers are easy. It's asking the right question that's hard.
