I say, if he comes to penguicon, we run anything he wants run. Doesn't
mean we can nescesarily find presenters, or that guests will come to the
panels. . . .But if somoene with that big a name wants to come to penguicon,
and bring a crowd of fans/friends along, I say it's well worth indulging
their follies. Not, mind you, at a large cost to the rest of our tracks .
. . .But our business is holding a fun convention, centered around fandom,
and techie-geekdom, and if we don't experiement, and adapt. . . . We will
shrink into oblivion.

Im all for a list of must do's, such as a tech track, a gaming track, a
sci-fi track, Etc . . . But I don't think we are at the point where we can
safely begin throwing down a lot of cant do's, unless there is a security,
legal, or some other major conflict. . . .We need guests, we need names, we
need members. . . .And until we hit on the recipe that brings them in so
fast we need to start turning them away. . . .I say we experiment.

Even if it's needlepoint.
