[Penguicon-Concom] Whuffie reward values

I'd also like to introduce the concept of the Penguinista's Own. Membership
will take between one and infinite Whuffies, as the participant wishes.
I wanted to provide a reward for those who are volunteering in a way that
open sourcers will recognize: because it needs done, and for the
(semi-)covert prestige of being one of the people who does the work in the
trenches to make things happen, chosen based on interest, and done just
because they want to.
In my experience, folks like this will accept a little praise, but not too
much. And they'll accept small shiny rewards, but not ones big enough to
make them feel like they've been "paid" for their volunteer work.
Each year will have its own cadre of Penguinista's Own. Being a member in
2008 will get you
a) a shiny 2008 Penguinista's Own ribbon;
b) your name and the number of Whuffies you put forward, on a website
discussing the necessity of volunteerism to make cons run, and how cool the
people who do it are;
c) entry to Own Only events that happen at PenguiCon (and invitation to
other events throughout the year); and, by implied proxy,
d) my personal mark of respect (FWIW).
I love and care for all the folks who volunteer, for whatever reason. Some
want or need physical rewards. This is great; they can have them. Some
will be happy with the power to make their vision happen. (That would, by
and large, be us. Smile, everybody!) And some will do the work with
virtually no reward and only an internally generated prestige. I've got a
soft spot for them, and Penguinista's Own is designed to give them the
carefully understated praise I think they will accept.
Thoughts? Suggested tweaks? Rants? Speak to me. (:
