Okay, dude, but you get to lead the MST3K-ing, being the person who has watched this thing.

If you're interested in suggestions for a good (in some senses of the word) movie to MST3K this year, I've got a great one for you. I've also got two copies of it on videotape. That classic 1970 Science Fiction film "Moon Zero Two"! Check out the IMDB listing at:
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0064691/
It gets only a 3.0 of 10.0 rating from IMDB, despite manfully combining elements of a Crime movie, a bad Sci Fi flic, a Western, and a Detective story into one unintelligible mush. It's got Lunar Go-Go girls! All spaceships look like Lunar Modules! Great bar fights in low gravity! And the origin of the now classic "purple haired lunar women" look!
You know that point where bad passes through awful and gets to sublime? This movie doesn't make that point.
What more could you want?

Gini,
Since you're doing the media programming... last year we MST3K'd Tron with Tom Smith and someone else. Steve told me he has the moive that we should be doing this year. Just don't ask me what the name of it is because I don't remember to save my life. (duh...) However, if you're interested get the name of the movie from him and throw it onto the schedule.
Thanks!
Sarah
(eventually I'll remember everything I've forgotten)

Aw, shucks....
Seriously, though, Cathrynne Valente's fiance, Dmitri, will be at the con and he is a hoot.
Molly de Blanc <majorarcanna at gmail.com> wrote: As we discuss panels, there's one I want to see. I don't know if it'd need a moderator, but the title would be "Living with Genius," and we'd invite the children, spouses, housemates, pets (if they can talk), etc of some of our talent to talk about it. And share embarrassing stories. According to the wife of a favorite writer of mine "He says I can do these as long as I don't tell the kumquat story. And trust me, there's always a kumquat story." Sarah Monette's husband expressed interest in this. Cherie Priest's husband sounds like he might be able to be talked into it. Randall Munroe's roommate, Derek, has expressed a willingness to kind of do whatever we want him to. Tamora Pierce's husband will also be coming, then we have our beloved Cathy Raymond. We also have Ferrett, whose wife is, I am convinced from reading his blog, a genius.
FY,
Molly

I'm certain that Cathrynne Valente will be interested in this panel.

I feel this is a lit panel with 3-5 authors and 1-2 tech people.
