"1hr" and "0h50" are the same timeslot. Also "2hr" and "1h50", "3hr"
and "2h50", and so on. We always ask there to be a ten-minute break at
the end of a session. But I don't think we need to list it that way in
the schedule book.

gamesmanship. Andy will be playing against multiple opponents, playing

Unless you heard that this was canceled, which I did not hear about:
April 20, 2008 10:00 am	0h50	Ballroom C	Future Ethics Of Ending
The World	Aaron Diaz, Eliezer Yudkowsky	All good and sensible folk
agree: it's time for this world to end. But what's the right and
proper way to go about it? Is it a moral requirement to preserve the
lives of existing humans so they can develop into technological gods?
Or is it okay to wipe out the human species and replace it with
superior AIs? Does a proper transcendence require the extinction of
the human race, or prohibit it? And what about the Luddites - should
they be given their own Dyson Sphere, be forced to upgrade their
intelligence, or be recycled for parts? Aaron Diaz (Dresden Codak) and
Eliezer Yudkowsky (Singularity Institute for AI) square off on the
ethics of technocalypse.
noon A Thinking Ape's Critique of Trans-Simianism Replace weird
characters with quote marks and apostrophes.
2PM Cryonics: Current State of the Art Replace "access" with
"accessed".

committee unveils next year's new larger hotel, Nifty Guests, Hack of
Honor, and Guests of Honor!"
