[Penguicon-Concom] Fwd: Linux Live CDs

The computer lounge has had the Burn Box for the past two PenguiCons,
but that does require people to go to the computer lounge and burn a
disc. And the only labelling option is a sharpie. Printed labels can
be expensive and difficult to apply, and a cd printer isn't necessarily
cheap and requires special cd's or dvd's, although I don't think those
are significantly more expensive).
I have to agree on the pre-packaged cd's from Ubuntu, although there is
a significant problem with that. Releases are scheduled every 6
months, one in October and one in April. We wouldn't be able to get
cd's of the latest version in time.
Perhaps Ubuntu would be willing to ship out cd cases, and we burn and
print the Ubuntu discs, assuming PenguiCon owns or has access to a cd
printer. This would also allow us to put out (with Ubuntu's permission)
co-branded PenguiCon Ubuntu discs.

Answers are easy. It's asking the right questions which is hard.
