Unfortunately, John Kovalic thought we were the weekend after GAMA rather than 
before, and when he went to make travel arrangmeents he found up he'd 
scheduling some GAMA related stuff over top of Penguicon, and he can't get 
out of now.  (You may remember we were were worried about the proximity to 
GAMA way back when we first found out about it, so this isn't entirely a 
surprise.  Gaming _is_ what he does for a living, after all.)

He could still attend for part of the weekend, but John decided to let him go 
and maybe we can try to get him back a future year when we're _not_ right 
next to a big gaming industry convention (and also when his mind's not on 
adopting a baby).

That said, we're in negotiations with another potential GoH (no, not Wil 
Wheaton, although if he's free...  I mean a gaming GoH to avoid disappointing 
the gamers with a last minute loss of focus on their area of interest), and 
we should know in the next day or two.  Worst case scenario, we still have 5 
GoHs since Charlie Stross was a late addition.  We'll post here (and 
penguicon-general, and update the website) once we have more details.
