I could probably make that.

I'm unlikely to be particularly coherent at 9:30 am. 11am I might manage.
By the way, according to the big Penguicon ad Howard just posted on his blog
at schlockmercenary.com, he's only doing chupaquesos. I.E. nobody told him
he's scheduled on "this topic intentionally left blank", and Steve Jackson
begged off for scheduling reasons. That means it's just Eric on that, and
the panel format doesn't work with just one person.
If it's just Eric, possibly this could get switched to "The Economics of Open
Source". I mention this because I happen to know that Eric's writing a new
paper on why commoditization is an inaccurate metaphor for the impact of open
source on the software industry, and it should really be modularization
(which has the same advantage as the black-scholes thing about an option on a
portfolio being worth less than a portfolio of options and so on, and you'll
have to read his paper for the full explanation).
Considering I'm recording the panels, this might be good for him to give a
talk about if he can have the material ready in time. (Eric?)
