[Penguicon-Concom] Bylaws bullshit - oh, give it up already!

I think it's kinda funny how much people complain about what isn't getting 
done, and insinuate that other people aren't doing what they can.  Perhaps 
I'm wrong on this, but I think this is the first year we've had a signed 
hotel contract in July of the year before the convention.  I don't want to 
say that it was 100% my doing.  But I do know that it was mostly my work and 
my pushing the board to make suggestions and give deadlines and get the damn 
contract signed.  It's done.  I've done a fair chunk of my job already.  Of 
course there is more, and I'm aware of it.  I'm happy to do it.  I think I 
did a pretty damn good job last year, and I know Aaron appreciates all the 
work I did.  I plan on working just as hard this year, and I've joined the 
team much earlier in the year.

People complaining isn't the problem.  The problem is when people don't 
listen to/read what people have to say, and just shout out opinions about 
things that they completely misunderstood.  The convention will continue to 
happen well beyond year five.  There's no doubt in my mind about that.  As 
long as there are people like Tracy, Aaron, and myself (as well as many 
others) around, I'm not too concerned about it.  There are people who are 
willing to do the impossible.  And there are people for whom drama is a way 
of life.  I just think doing the impossible becomes easier when there aren't 
as many dramatic people around.

Feel free to flame me or whatever you like.  All I ask is that you ask for 
clarification about anything you may have misunderstood before bitching me 
out about it.
