I never thought I would be saying this, but I agree with Rob!
 
Since when did the corporate model become the model for running Pcon, or  any 
other SF/other con?    Must we deal with the same nonsense in  our 
pleasurable free time activities that we do at work?
 
Just what are we trying to codify here?  
 
I've said before that I am concerned about the hidden agendas and  
doublespeak at work here.  I'm even more concerned now.
