[Board] Meeting

O.k., folks.
Up until now I have not called a meeting, through sheer discouragement at
the turnout for the last several. After a lot of thinking, I have come to
this decision. One of these things needs to happen.
1: We need to hold an all-hands meeting, accept resignations from those who
simply have too much life going on to make meetings, and move forward.
2: We need to hold an all-hands meeting, and pass a resolution, amending the
bylaws to indicate that the missing of two meetings in one calendar year, or
two in any consecutive calendar years, will trigger the immediate
resignation of the absent member, no voting or motion required. The
remaining board can of course vote them back in, if circumstances warrant.
3: We need to hold an all-hands meeting, and accept my resignation, and vote
someone else into the presidents position, because I simply can't be
president in this sort of situation.
In light of that decision, I am calling a board meeting. I am available:
ANY Friday Night, Saturday or Sunday, from here to the end of the year,
along with Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New years Eve, and New years
day.. Period. I will cancel any social obligations required, and with
sufficient notice, by work will not require overtime on those days. The
only reason I will cancel or miss a scheduled meeting will be complete
failure of my social network to render aid in the event of a transportation
collapse (unlikely) or a medical issue that places me in the hospital
(Equally Unlikely).
I will host, and am willing to drive as much as three hundred miles to
somewhere else, if placement is an issue.
I WILL be sending out reminders every week, on this list, until I have heard
from EVERY board member on this issue, and then will be sending out regular
reminders of the agreed upon date, just to make sure nothing slips through
the cracks.
Schedules, anyone?
